2016 Beijing Motor Show: Show Car Library – Nissan Maxima for China with advanced safety features

Nissan’s Chinese joint venture Dongfeng Nissan has begun sales in China of the new Maxima which it displayed at the 2016 Beijing Motor Show.

The new Maxima made its debut at the April 2015 New York International Auto Show. The Maxima is Nissan’s luxury sedan for the US market. Like previous models, the new 8th generation model was designed on the theme “4-door sports car.” The new model has an upgraded chassis.

For the new model, over 60% of the parts in its VQ 3.5L V6 gasoline engine have been upgraded. While the engine puts out 300hp, its fuel economy has been improved 15% for highway driving. The transmission is Xtronic CVT.

The China model is equipped with advanced Nissan Intelligent Driving features such as Emergency Brake, Blind Spot Warning, Lane Departure Warning and Around View Monitor. The current base price is 234,800 yuan (approximately 4,000,000 yen).
