On April 25, Nissan Motor Corporation unveiled its all-new Tiida at the 2016 Beijing Motor Show in China.
The current second-generation model was launched back in April 2011 at the 2011 Shanghai Motor Show. Unlike the first model, which was available to the Japanese market, the second-generation Tiida was exclusively developed for overseas.
On April 25, Nissan debuted its third-generation model at this yearâ€™s Beijing Motor Show. In fall 2014, Nissan released its new Pulsar to the European market. This model will be introduced as the all-new Tiida for the Chinese market.
Exclusively designed to appeal to the young generation of consumers in China, the exterior for the new Tiida comes equipped with a dynamic V-motion grille and other stylish features that are not available on the new Pulsar. Compared to its previous model, the third-gen Tiida offers upgrades to its engine, transmission, and safety performance. In addition, it comes with a more spacious interior and improved amenities.
For the powertrain, customers can choose from either an XTronic CVT or a 1.6-liter inline four-cylinder HR16DE gasoline engine with Idling Stop System. The fuel consumption is a low 18.9km/liter.
