Nissan Motor Corporation world premiered the 2017 GT-R at the 2016 New York Auto Show on March 23.
The outgoing GT-R was announced in October 2007. It has been subjected to updates almost every year. Eight years since its debut, the 2017 model, which is the second major facelift made to the GT-R, will be making its appearance at the 2016 New York Auto Show.
The 2017 GT-R will boast more power with its 3.8L V6 gasoline twin-turbo engine. Its maximum output has been raised 20ps to 570ps. Nissan says that it has a more flat torque curve.
The American edition’s premium grade adopts a titanium exhaust system. Combined with active noise cancellation and active sound technology, it will produce exciting sounds while doing away with the unpleasant ones.
Both the interior and the exterior have been changed. The exterior features a larger V-motion grille, improving the engine’s cooling performance. The grille adopts a new mesh pattern and a matte chrome finish has been applied to it. The bonnet also features a new shape in consideration to the air flow, increasing the stability when driving at high speeds.
Meanwhile, in the interior, the front seat adopts a new design, thereby improving the hold performance and comfort. The number of switches have been reduced from 27 to 11, raising its usability. The paddle shift has been placed on the steering wheel; hence, it can be operated without having to remove your hand from the steering wheel.
