Honda Cars India Limited premiered the Jazz Racing Concept (Honda Fit in Japan) in India at the 2016 Delhi Motor Show (Auto Expo) on February 3.
The Fit Racing Concept is Honda’s flagship car with circuit racing specifications. The all-new Fit has just been released in India in July 2015. Honda’s Indian R&D department transformed this all-new Fit into a racer.
The racing concept is mounted with exclusive aero parts to give it a powerful look. It uses three body colors: white, pink, and black. It is outfitted with Bridgestone Potenza race tires.
To shave off excess weight, some of the cabin’s comfortable equipment and interior parts have been removed. It has been equipped with Recaro bucket seats, and mounted with a roll cage.
It also features a Momo steering wheel.
The powertrain specifications have not been disclosed yet. However, the production version of the Fit in India is equipped with a 1.2L i-VTEC gasoline engine. This engine generates a maximum output and a maximum torque of 90ps/6000rpm and 11.2kgm/4800rpm respectively.
