2016 Delhi Motor Show: Toyota introduces new hybrid car to India

On January 28, Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) announced that they will introduce a new hybrid car to the Indian market during the 2016 Delhi Motor Show (Auto Expo) in India on February 3, 2016.

Toyota is currently selling two hybrid car models in India – the Camry Hybrid and the outgoing Prius. They set to strengthen the sales of hybrid cars in Indonesia at the 2016 Delhi Motor Show.

Particularly, they set up an exclusive booth for the Toyota hybrid cars in the venue of the 2016 Delhi Motor Show; the booth was called the Hybrid Zone. Toyota Kirloskar Motor sold 1,000 hybrid cars in India in 2015, but they aim to increase their sales.

TKM plans to introduce the new hybrid car to the Indian Market at the 2016 Delhi Motor Show. Its model name hasn’t been revealed yet as of now, but TKM explained that the hybrid technology will be more emphasized through a passenger car.

TKM Director and Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing N. Raja commented, “We want to show our customers that the hybrid technology is both environment-friendly and powerful.”
