On January 13, Honda announced that it will make the India debut of its BR-V at the 2016 Auto Expo, also known as the Delhi Motor Show.
The mass market version of the BR-V made its world premiere at the 2015 Thailand International Motor Expo in Bangkok in December. The BR-V has an SUV-like exterior and handling but spacious and multi-functional interior.
It has a 1.5L in-line 4-cylinder gasoline i-VTEC engine. It offers a sporty driving performance and excellent fuel economy with its new combined 6-speed MT and CVT.
Production of the BR-V is set for Honda’s Indonesia and Thailand plants. The appearance of the BR-V in India at the motor show next month is its first appearance in the country.
Honda said, “The BR-V is the key model for all of the new models we plan to release in India.”
