Suzuki Motor Corporation will launch the Ignis, a compact crossover equipped with mild hybrid starting February 18.
The new Ignis is a crossover of a compact car and an SUV. Not only can it be used conveniently on a daily basis, it is also practical for outdoor and other leisure activities during weekends. It is a new-genre mini crossover based on the concept â€œfunctional and stylish mini crossover.â€
It has a compact body size with an overall length of 3700mm and overall width of 1660mm. Combined with the minimum turning radius of 4.7m, it certainly has an easy-to-drive size. It possesses a driving performance apt even for snowy and rough roads due to its packaging, excellent visibility from high eye-point, and high ground clearance.
The design concept is â€œSimple Iconic, Simple Standardâ€. Sophisticated styling is realized, with the exterior giving a powerful impression with its simple elements such as lines and surfaces, and the interior expressing newness and high quality.
Ignis has a 1.2L K12C DUALJET engine mounted on its new platform and is equipped with a mild hybrid to assist the engine in the motor during acceleration. Weight reduction is thoroughly conducted in the entire vehicle, realizing excellent fuel efficiency of 28.8km/L (for HYBRID MG 2WD) and a strong acceleration performance. The 4WD variant is also equipped with Hill Descent Control functions that support driving on steep downward slopes and snowy roads.
The interior adopts a separately adjustable and reclining rear seats that realizes a large capacity luggage compartment despite being compact in size. The compartment can be rearranged to create a luggage space, adapting to various circumstances. It is also equipped with latest comfortable equipment, such as the memory navigation system which is now compatible with Apple CarPlay. It also comes with safety equipment such as the Dual Camera Brake Support, the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) curtain airbag, and the front seat SRS side airbag.
The price ranges from 1,382,400 yen to 1,778,760 yen.
