The machine driven by Alonso at the N-One Owners Cup

2016 Tokyo Auto Salon: N-One with livery of McLaren Honda driven by Alonso

The N-One Owners Cup machine with McLaren Honda’s colors, which was driven by Fernando Alonso last year and got noticed by many attendees, was exhibited in the Honda booth at the 2016 Tokyo Auto Salon held in Makuhari Messe in Chiba.

This machine was driven by the Formula 1 driver Fernando Alonso during an exhibition race at the Honda Racing Thanks Day held in Twin Ring Motegi last December 2015.

Particularly, the black and red color coordination, which is the same with the McLaren Honda MP4-30, was revived, and it has the #14 on its logo. The door at the driver’s seat also has the signature that he wrote before the race began. The machine was exhibited at the Honda booth in Makuhari Messe, and attendees who passed by this booth unintentionally took a look at it and showed great interest towards the small McLaren Honda machine.

The McLaren Honda MP4-30 was also exhibited inside the booth. It is usually placed above an exhibition stage, but this time, it was exhibited at a lower position so many attendees nearby could approach it immediately. They could also view some of its parts that cannot usually be viewed up close, such as the cockpit and more, so the fans really took a closer look at it.

Beside the MP4-30, they also displayed the NSX Concept-GT (for testing) which Alonso drove at the Honda Thanks Day.
