Nissan North America premiered the Warrior Concept of the all-new Titan XD at the 2016 Detroit Auto Show.
The Warrior Concept hints at a high-performance version of the Titan XD, which was announced at the Detroit Auto Show in January 2015 and is Nissan’s new full-size pickup truck. It features an improved off-road performance.
It is mounted with the same diesel engine as the Titan XD – the Cummins 5L V8 turbo diesel engine that generates a maximum output and a maximum torque of 310hp and 76.7kgm respectively. It is mated to an Aisin six-speed automatic transmission.
Its front grille and headlights are slightly different from the production version. Its overall height is approximately 75mm higher than the production version. Its overall width is also roughly wider by 75mm. The fenders, which were widened, fit the large-diameter off-road tires and 18-inch aluminum wheels. The suspension has been customized for off-road driving. In the front, the standard suspension has been replaced with a control arm with performance ball joints. The rear suspension was also tuned for off-road driving.
The Warrior Concept is covered in a custom matte-gunmetal paint called “Thunder” and accented in special “Magma” orange and black color highlights.
