2016 Detroit Auto Show: Acura reveals the Precision Concept, previews its next-gen sedan

Acura, Honda’s luxury car brand, premiered the Precision Concept at the 2016 Detroit Auto Show on January 12.

The Precision Concept is a car that was created to preview the direction of the future Acura design. The concept was created by Acura’s California Design Studio. The Precision Concept previews the next generation of performance-luxury sedans.

Its exterior has an elegant body line that is distinctive to four-door coupes. This concept expresses the Acura brand DNA “Precision Crafted Performance.” Its overall length, width, height, and wheelbase are 5180mm, 2135mm, 1320mm, and 3100mm respectively. It was designed to have a low and wide stance.

The over swelling rear fenders cover the 22-inch five-spoke aluminum wheels. It is outfitted with Michelin Pilot Super Sport Summer tires. The Acura emblem is placed in the center of the large front grille. Furthermore, this concept car features the signature lighting design of Acura with the Jewel LED headlights.

Meanwhile, the interior features a dramatic design to match the elegant and powerful exterior. The compact steering wheel was race-inspired. It also adopts a floating center meter, a heads-up display, and a wide center display.
