2016 North American International Auto Show: Nissan debuts Titan Warrior Concept high-performance off-road model

On January 11, Nissan North America unveiled its Warrior Concept for the all-new Titan XD at the 2016 North American International Auto Show.

This concept previews the high-performance version of Nissan’s all-new Titan XD full-size pickup that was unveiled last January at the 2015 North American International Auto Show. Nissan has enhanced its off-road performance for this new model.

The body color is a matte gunmetal paint called “Thunder” featuring orange accents. The front grille and headlights have been slightly redesigned from its production model. Both the width and height of the vehicle have been expanded by around 75mm. Within the widened fenders are large diameter off-road tires and 18-inch aluminum wheels.

The suspension has been tuned for off-road driving. The front suspension has been switched to a control arm with performance ball joints. The rear suspension has been modified for off-road use as well.

The power train is the same diesel engine as the Titan XD. This Cummins 5.0-liter V8 turbo diesel generates 310hp of maximum output and 76.7kgm of maximum torque. The transmission is a six-speed Aisin automatic system.
