2016 Detroit Auto Show: Lexus to unveil the LC 500 luxury coupe?

The Detroit Auto Show will be held in the United States this January 2016. There is a possibility that Lexus will be unveiling a new car at this auto show.

This was reported by an Australian automotive media outlet, Motoring, on December 4. According to their source, “Lexus will unveil the LC 500 at the 2016 Detroit Auto Show.”

The Lexus LC 500 is a new luxury two-door coupe. In January 2012, Lexus exhibited the hybrid sports coupe concept car LF-LC at the Detroit Auto Show. The LC is said to be the production version of this concept car.

The LF-LC is the study model that suggests the future design trend of Lexus. Lexus ended the production of the SC in July 2010, and the LF-LC is suggested to be the replacement of the SC as a luxury coupe.

Using an illustration, Motoring presented how the Lexus LC 500 is expected to look like. It was reported that it uses a 5.0-liter V-8 powertrain, which is currently used in the RC F and GS F models.
