Acura NSX (2015 Los Angeles Auto Show)

2015 Los Angeles Auto Show: Show Car Library – All-new Acura NSX featuring speeds of up to 307km/h

Honda’s luxury brand for overseas, Acura showcased its all-new NSX at the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show.

The new NSX was launched at the 2015 North American International Auto Show this January. Its lightweight mid-ship body is equipped with a new direct injection 3.5-liter V6 twin turbo engine that generates 500hp of maximum output and 56.1kgm of maximum torque.

The all-new NSX features a highly efficient and productive three-motor hybrid system called Sport Hybrid SH-AWD. It comes with three motors, two at the front and one at the rear along with its 9-speed dual clutch transmission. The motors produce 73hp of maximum output and the overall system generates 573hp.

The highlight of the new NSX is its electric 4WD hybrid system, which allows for torque vectoring that controls all four wheels independently through the two motors that disconnects the left and right front wheels. The weight distribution is 42/58 (front/rear). The cargo weight was lowered to 1,725kg by incorporating lightweight materials such as aluminum and carbon fiber. The new NSX reaches speeds of up to 307km/h.
