Suzuki exhibited a Solio Hybrid that features an EV mode through its motor at the 44th Tokyo Motor Show.
With its major improvement that was carried out in August, the Solio first adopted the newly developed platform of minicars. Weight reduction was achieved after improving rigidity, quietness, the collision performance, and the driving performance substantially. The compact body size remains the same, but now, it has a best-in-class interior length of 2515mm and a distance of 1080mm between the front and rear occupant, who has plenty of space. Also, the interior height is 1360mm.
The power unit is equipped with a newly developed 1.2 liter K12C dual jet engine and mild hybrid to assist the engine through the motor during aceleration. The weight reduction of 100kg enables the Solio Hybrid to balance a powerful running performance and a best-in-class fuel consumption of 27.8km/liter.
Based on the all-new Solio, the Solio Hybrid is equipped with a new hybrid system that features motor assist and EV mode. It also has a center walk-through that can allow movement between the front seats and the rear seats in the car, and it is equipped with dual camera brake support.
Its overall length, width, and height are 3710mm, 1625mm, and 1745mm respectively.
