The Toyota Auto Body unveiled its ultra-compact electric vehicle (EV) Coms Connect at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show.
The Coms Connect is a concept model equipped with a lithium ion battery and an in-wheel motor in its frame. Depending on the application and number of passengers, it is possible to change the specifications for three types of mode – delivery, personal, and tandem.
Shoji Kawamori, who is known as the director of the original animation Macross series, handled the robot’s design transformation.
The Toyota Auto Body defined the Coms Connect as a “multipurpose mobility that connects people, cars, and society”. It is said that it will continue to contribute friendly urban development to people, new business styles, and convenient and comfortable lifestyle.
