Nissan President Carlos Ghosn introduced the IDS Concept, which was unveiled on the same day; the kei car Teatro for Dayz, a futuristic electric vehicle (EV), and more at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show press day on October 28.
The IDS Concept exhibits the form of an EV that answers to the subject of self-driving technology and cruising range in 2020. President Ghosn said,”In order to fix 90% of traffic accidents caused by human errors, we will develop safer and more effectively enjoyable driving.”
The Gripz crossover concept unit, which was unveiled in Japan, was exhibited at the Nissan booth. Nissan moves forward in developing a series of hybrid cars called Pure Drive e-Power based on EV technology.
President Ghosn said regarding the rapidly growing crossover market, “Nissan will hereafter continue producing excellent vehicles, and we consider taking the chance in this segment.”
