On August 25, Lexus announced that it will unveil the new RX for Europe at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, which will be held in Germany in September.
The new RX made its world premiere at the 2015 New York Motor Show in spring 2015. The fourth model in the series, it was developed along the theme of, “Even more RX than the RX.” It’s aimed to be a premium crossover that maintains the high quality customers have come to love while also offering new appeal.
The wheelbase is 50mm longer than the current model. The wheel radius is expanded to give it more imposing proportions and accentuate the presence of the underbody. While maintaining the ample interior space, the cabin silhouette is smooth and graceful.
Overall, it has an eloquent look with its diamond-shaped main body that starts at the unique spindle grille and goes all the way out to the extended wheel flares. The L-shaped three-lens LED headlamps express the Lexus identity. The L-shaped tail lamps that wrap around the rear body are a first for Lexus.
The European version of the RX is planned for an unveiling at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. At present, details about the European version aren’t known, but one image has been made public. Lexus says the next model will be the hybrid RX450h.
