As the centerpiece of its exhibit at the 2015 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS), which opened its doors on August 20, Toyota introduced the i-Road next-gen personal mobility model of its Mirai FCV and the Alphard Hybrid.
The Indonesian press rushed to the exhibit before the Mirai took the stage. Its ability to draw a crowd was impressive.
Other new models displayed by Toyota at the show were the Avanza and Avanza Veloz. The Avanza is a popular MPV model that has undergone minor changes. The new version was unveiled and released the same day.
The Avanza and Avanza Veloz continue to be the best-selling models in the Indonesian market’s popular 3-seater MPV compact car class. The minor changes include changes to the interior and exterior. The changes include arranging the propeller shaft in a linear way and new suspension parts to give it a smoother, quieter ride.
