Nissan Motor Corporation announced that the all-new Murano and its hybrid version are now on sale from Dongfeng Nissan, its joint venture in China.
The all-new Murano is an important product of the “Young Nissan” strategy, which targets China’s youth market. Cheaper by 127,000 yuan (roughly 2.5 million yen) than its predecessor, the entry model has been strategically priced with a price starting from 238,800 yuan (roughly 4.77 million yen).
The all-new Murano features Nissan’s latest global design language, adopting its distinctive signatures such as the V-motion grille, floating roof, and boomerang LED lights. It has a dynamic and sharp design.
China is the first market to have the hybrid version of the Murano, which is powered by a QR25 engine. The Murano Hybrid is equipped with a powertrain that combines the new supercharged QR25DER engine and an electric motor. The Intelligent Dual Clutch System and Xtronic transmission deliver powerful driving performance equivalent to the V6-3.5L gasoline engine, as well as superior fuel economy similar to the 2.0L gasoline engine.
The all-new Murano also features safety shield technologies such as the Moving Objective Detection (MOD) and the Around View Monitor (AVM). Furthermore, it also comes with a range of driving aid features such as Emergency Braking, Emergency Assist for Pedal Misapplication, and Driver Alert System.
