This yearâ€™s Works Tuning Group test-drive event featured three Mugen models by M-TEC: the S660, STEPWGN, and Legend.
Aero parts for the MUGEN S660 includes front, rear, and side spoilers, bonnet, engine hood, detachable hardtop, and a dry carbon rear wing that can be adjusted to two different angles. For the cabin, a carbon shift knob and sport mats are available.
The gearshift has been switched to a quick shifter and the brakes feature rotors and mesh brake lines. It also comes with a sport silencer muffler. The wheels are 15×5.5J on the front and 16×6.5J at the back with the front featuring 0.5-inch wider rims for enhanced stability.
The kit with front under spoiler, side spoiler, rear aero fender, rear under spoiler, and aluminum wheels (MD8) is priced at 396,576 yen. The sport suspension is available for 170,640 yen while the left & right brake pad set is priced at 20,520 yen for the front and 19,440 yen for the rear. The left & right brake rotor set is 33,480 yen each for the front and back.
The MUGEN STEPWGN Spada is equipped with aero parts exclusively developed for the Spada. This package including aluminum wheels (MDW) is available for 375,192 yen.
The test-drive vehicle also came with sport suspension (170,640 yen), brake pads, and sport silencer (135,000 yen).
The Legend features a dry carbon under spoiler (216,000 yen) for the front and a dry carbon trunk lid spoiler (162,000 yen) for the back. The suspension includes amplitude reactive sport dampers (302,400 yen). It also comes with 20-inch MFL wheels (162,000 yen each) and 245/35ZR20 ADVAN sport tires. Standard tires are 245/40R19.
