On July 20, Subaru (Fuji Heavy Industries) announced that it release a limited number of exclusive motorsport WRX STI models for the Australian market.
Based on the WRX STI, these limited edition models were developed exclusively for competitive motorsport. They are FIA-homologated and qualify for FIA, WRC2, ERC2 progressive and national championships as they fulfill FIA’s new NR4 regulations, which replaces the N4 and R4 classes.
Subaru’s long-time motorsport partner, Possum Bourne Motorsport is currently developing a number of packages for these WRX STIs to suit a variety of drivers from beginners to advanced.
It features a 2.0-liter horizontally opposed 4-cylinder gasoline turbo engine, FIA-approved roll cages, and White or WR Blue colors for the exterior.
The base price starts at 38,000 AUD (approx. 3,400,000 yen).
