On July 10, Fuji Heavy Industries will release the Subaru Impreza Sport Hybrid.

The Impreza Sport Hybrid features an evolved version of the 2.0-liter horizontally opposed 4-cylinder engine + motor unit on the XV Hybrid. The fuel-efficiency (JC08 mode) has improved from 20.0km/liter to 20.4km/liter as a result of updates to its Lineartronic transmission and hybrid battery.

With the expertise developed from its high-performance WRX sport sedan, its exclusively tuned suspension provides enhanced drivability.

The hybrid version also offers a different look for its exterior from the standard Impreza Sport. It comes equipped with an exclusive bumper and grille on the front as well as side sill extensions and a roof spoiler on the back. Its 17-inch aluminum wheels are attached to slightly wider 215/50R15 sized tires. The exterior has been stretched out by 25mm in height and 15mm in width and its minimum ground clearance lowered by 15mm. Its length is the same 4,420mm as the regular Impreza Sport.

The interior is highlighted by blue lighting on the dashboard, Ultrasuede seats and blue stitching throughout the cabin for enhanced quality and refinement. The Impreza Sport Hybrid 2.0i EyeSight is priced at 2,320,000 yen and the Impreza Sport Hybrid 2.0i-S EyeSight at 2,440,000 yen.
