On May 28 in France, Nissan Motor Company unveiled their Nissan GT-R LM Nismo in new colors.
Launched in February, the Nissan GT-R LM Nismo was developed to compete at this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans endurance race. This front-engine front-wheel drive racing car features a hybrid system combining a 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbo gasoline engine with an energy recovery system.
In addition to this Nissan VRX 30A Nismo direct-injected turbo engine, it features a Cosworth ECU (engine control unit) and 5-speed sequential transmission. The engine and energy recovery system combined generates 1,250hp of maximum output.
The exterior measures at 4,645 x 1,900 x 1,030mm (length x width x height). Nissan has trimmed down its cargo weight to 880kg by incorporating a carbon-composite body panel and a polycarbonate windscreen.
The new colors for this GT-R LM Nismo were inspired by the Nissan R90CK, which captured pole position in qualifying at the 24 Hours of Le Mans back in 1990. Decorated in blue, this GT-R LM Nismo is all set to take home the checkered flag at Le Mans.
