Toyota launched the facelifted Corolla Axio on April 1. The updated model is equipped with Toyota Safety Sense C for the first time.
Toyota Safety Sense C uses two different sensors, a combination of laser radar and a camera, enabling high reliability and performance. This safety package includes Pre-Collision System (PCS) , Lane Departure Alert (LDA) and Automatic High Beam (AHB) to achieve a multi-faceted approach to driving support systems.
It uses ‘modern’ as its design concept. It has a wider front bumper lower grille and a chrome ornamentation that extends from the upper grille to the headlights, emphasizing the breadth of the car’s front side. The rear side features rear combination lamps and a new bumper design.
The hybrid model is mounted with a 1.5-liter engine mated to an electric motor. The engine produces a maximum output and maximum torque of 74ps and 11.3kgm, while the motor generates 61ps and 17.2kgm respectively. It achieves a fuel economy of 33.8km/l in JC08 mode. It has a wheelbase of 2600mm, and its overall length, width and height are 4400mm, 1695mm, and 1460mm respectively.
The price ranges between 1,464,873 and 2,207,127 yen.
