2015 Shanghai Motor Show: Nissan debuts next generation Skyline Coupe in China, its production and sales to start in 2016

Infiniti is Nissan’s overseas luxury car brand that debuted the Q60 concept at the 2015 Shanghai Motor Show on April 20.

The Q60 concept was premiered to the world at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show in January. The current Nissan Skyline Coupe is being sold as the Infinity Q60 in the overseas market, such as North America. The Q60 concept is a concept vehicle that is suggested as the next generation Nissan Skyline Coupe.

The Q60 concept design was exhibited at the 2015 Paris Motor Show in September 2014. It strongly obtained the influence of the Q80 Inspiration. The body size is 4690mm×1865mm×1370mm (length×width×height). The interior uses high-quality materials, such as handmade leather, Alcantara, carbon fiber, and others. The foot space in the rear seat is wider than the current Skyline Coupe. It was wrapped up as a real 2+2 coupe.

Its powertrain is a 3.0-liter direct-injection V6 cylinder twin turbo engine. According to Infiniti, it has become the next generation engine that has both excellent performance and environmental performance.

Infiniti debuted the Q60 concept at the 2015 Shanghai Motor Show. Infiniti released 7,900 units in China on the first quarter (January-March) of 2015. It is up 28% compared to the previous year in terms of sales. It became one of the market that achieve the most growth in the world sales of Infiniti.

Infiniti commented, “The Q60 concept will start its production and sales in 2016.”
