New Honda Step WGN SPADA

New Step WGN Launch: Photo Feature – Spada gets a 3-series license plate, exclusive suspension delivers a more solid performance

Honda announced on April 23 that it will launch its new Step WGN on April 24. Aimed to be an ‘autobahn cruiser,’ the nose of the SPADA is 45mm longer than the basic Step WGN to emphasize a progressive feel and stronger presence.

Despite being based on the Step WGN, a car with five-series license plate, the SPADA will have a three-series license plate.

The tailgate spoiler comes standard, which lowers the vehicle lift and improves stability at high speed levels. It is outfitted with exclusively-designed 16-inch and 17-inch aluminum wheels. It offers an aggressive, functional beauty.

The SPADA features an exclusive suspension system. The highly rigid hub bearing and the exclusive damper settings increase the tires’ actual contact with the road surface. All models can have Honda Sensing system as an option. The Honda SENSING system is an advanced driver-assistive system that includes Advanced driver-assistive Honda SENSING system, Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), and Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS).

The wheelbase of the SPADA is 2890mm, while its overall length, width and height are 4735mm, 1695mm and 1840mm, respectively. Its curb weight is 1690kg. The SPADA’s engine has been downsized just like the Step WGN. It is mounted with a 1.5-liter VTEC turbo engine. It generates a maximum output and a maximum torque of 150ps and 20.7kgm. The price starts at 2.725 million yen.
