Mazda CX-3 XD

Photo Feature: Mazda CX-3 Release – Comparing the XD to other grades

On February 27, Mazda released the CX-3, their all-new compact crossover SUV. Although it only features a 1.5-liter diesel engine for the Japanese market, it comes available in three types. Let’s compare the most affordable XD model to the other grades.

The XD is priced from ¥2,376,000 for the 2WD model. As for differences to its appearance from the other grades, the XD is equipped with 16-inch tires and halogen headlights (LED headlights are available as an option).

For the interior, there are slight color differences including the armrest on the XD, which doesn’t feature the dark red accents offered on the other grades.

In terms of safety features, the XD does not come equipped with Smart Brake Support or Radar Cruise Control. Blind Spot Monitoring, Lane Departure Warning, and High Beam Control systems are available as optional features.

However, everything else is practically the same as the higher grades including its performance. Although the i-ELOOP isn’t available, the XD offers more than enough features for its price.
