2015 New York Motor Show: Toyota RAV4 features renewed look combining safety and technology

On April 2, Toyota Motor Sales USA unveiled their 2016 RAV4 at the 2015 New York International Auto Show.

The current RAV4 for the North American market is its fourth-generation model, which debuted in fall of 2012 at the Los Angeles Auto Show. As for its Japanese model, Toyota has maintained its third-generation RAV4 without any updates. Along with the addition of their RAV4 Hybrid at the New York Auto Show, Toyota has evolved the gasoline model as well with its first significant upgrade.

The exterior features redesigns especially at the front. It comes with a renewed look that includes updates to its front grille, bumper, and LED headlights. At the rear are newly designed tailgates and bumper. The sides feature new rocker panels and aluminum wheels.

The interior has been updated with new material for enhanced quality. It also comes equipped with their 4.2 inch TFT Multi-Information Display by the speedometer as seen on the latest Toyota models. Toyota has also improved its convenience with new cup and sunglass holders, and electric socket.

As for its safety features, this RAV4 is Toyota’s first model in the US to be equipped with their Toyota Safety Sense driving assistance system. It offers tremendous reliability with advanced technology such as their Bird’s Eye View Monitor.
