On April 3, Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd. will release their updated Hijet Cargo mini commercial van and mini Atrai Wagon, as well as their newly established deck van for the Hijet Cargo Limited series.
For this minor update, Daihatsu installed electronically controlled 4-speed automatic transmission (AT) and electronic throttles that are popular with Hijet trucks, onto their Hijet Cargo and Atrai Wagon to improve its fuel-efficiency. All Hijet Cargo models achieved 2015 fuel efficiency standards, and the 2WD 4-speed AT model attained 2015 fuel efficiency standards +5%. Moreover, the Hijet Cargo Special Clean model qualifies for eco-car tax reductions as it achieved gas emissions that were 75% lower than Japan’s standards in 2005.
As is the case with the traditional Hijet Cargo Limited series, the newly established deck van features a stylish exterior with exclusive coloring, blue tinted windshield, and a metallic front grille, along with a sophisticated interior that offers silver accents around its interior panel. It also comes with a 3-year warranty for body rust and a 5-year warranty for rust holes on the exterior.
The Hijet Cargo is priced from ¥936,000 to ¥1,467,257, the Atrai wagon from ¥1,404,000 to ¥1,738,286, and the Hijet Cargo Deck Van from ¥1,260,514 to ¥1,455,943.
