Toyota displayed the new Avensis at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show.
The Avensis is the D segment car for Toyota’s European lineup. Toyota offers a sedan and a station wagon body type. It was planned at France’s design studio, designed at Toyota’s Belgium R&D center, and built at its UK plant. Only the station wagon version is available in Japan.
For the new model, the design has been brushed up with newly designed bumper, grille and LED headlights. The next generation engine is the European mainstay, the 2.0-liter in-line 4-cylinder turbo diesel the D-4D. It puts out 143hp with 32.6kgm of torque. It gets 22.2km per liter with CO2 emissions of 119g/km (European mode), giving it a Euro 6 rating under European emission standards.
