Infiniti, Nissan’s luxury car brand abroad, premiered the Q60 Concept in Europe at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland.
The Q60 Concept had its world premiere at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show last January. The outgoing Nissan Skyline Coupe is badged as Infiniti Q60 in overseas markets like North America. The Q60 Concept hints at the direction of Nissan’s next Skyline Coupe.
The Q60 Concept’s design is strongly influenced by the Q80 Inspiration, a concept car displayed at the Paris Motor Show in September 2014. Its overall length, width and height are 4690mm, 1865mm and 1370mm respectively. Its interior features premium materials such as handmade leather, Alcantara, and carbon fiber. The rear seats of this concept car have a wider legroom compared to the outgoing Skyline Coupe, turning it into a real 2+2 coupe.
It is mounted with a twin-turbo V6 3.0L direct-injection engine. According to Infiniti, this next-generation engine offers both excellent running performance and environmental performance.
Infiniti premiered the Q60 Concept, which will be commercially available by 2016, at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show as a way to entice the European market. Infiniti President and CEO Roland Krueger said at the press conference, “The Q60 Concept is more than a design exercise; it is earmarked for production. What you see in this concept vehicle inspires the sports coupe that Infiniti will produce next year.”
