Nissan unveiled the Sway concept car at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show on March 3.
The Sway concept car was developed by Nissan for its bid for the European hatchback market. Nissan’s flagship cars in Europe are the Qashqai and Juke. Both of these SUV models achieved great success because of their advanced design and product planning, and Nissan hopes to do the same with the Sway in its most important segment in Europe, the compact hatchback market.
Starting at the front its grille with its “V-Motion” motif, the exterior design brings in the latest in Nissan’s design features, including its powerful character line, floating roof and boomerang-shaped headlamps.
The Sway concept is a 5-door hatchback that is 4010mm long, 1780mm wide and 1385mm tall with a 2570mm wheelbase.
For the interior, Nissan gave it the “gliding wing” shaped dashboard that was also used by the IDx concept car at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show. The doors are double doors that open for the center for easy boarding.
