Nissan Motor Company announced that it will release the all-new NV100 Clipper and NV100 Clipper Rio on March 3.
The NV100 Clipper is a mini commercial van that has received high ratings for its convenience, loading capacity, and maneuverability since it was released back in 2003. Its counterpart, the NV100 Clipper Rio is a mini wagon released in 2007 that features a spacious cargo room and a variety of seat arrangements.
Nissan has significantly improved the fuel efficiency for the all-new Clipper by giving it a new engine and lighter cargo weight. Its 5-speed Auto Gear Shift (5AGS) model offers the top fuel efficiency in its class at 20.2km/liter (2WD). It also comes equipped with advanced safety features, which include the only Emergency Braking (automatic brake) system in its class, and a Collision Prevention Assistance system for pedal misapplications.
The 5-speed AGS and 5-speed manual models have both achieved the 2015 Fuel Economy Standard. They are the only vehicles in their class that qualifies for tax exemptions and/or reductions for automobile acquisition tax and vehicle weight tax.
Moreover, Suzuki Motor Corporation has supplied both models as OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) vehicles.
The NV100 Clipper is priced from ¥951,480 to ¥1,497,960, while the NV100 Clipper Rio ranges from ¥1,616,760 to ¥1,821,960.
