Suzuki to release its SX4 S-Cross in Japan with new 4WD technology

On February 19, Suzuki’s new crossover style SUV, the SX4 S-Cross will be released to the Japanese market.

The SX4 S-Cross made its debut at the 2013 Geneva International Motor Show and has since been available to markets throughout Europe and in China.

The exterior features a powerful and elegant crossover style design with fearless looking discharge headlights and LED position lamps. It comes available in four colors including a new Crystal Lime Metallic/Cool White Pearl.

The interior consists of a stylish instrument panel with soft padded surfaces and silver trimmings that gives you a feeling of dynamic movement. The dashboard has a multi-information display at its center that shows the car’s average fuel consumption and average speed.

With an interior length of 1,995mm and a distance of 814mm between the front and rear occupants, the SX4 S-Cross also offers spaciousness and plenty of room at the back. Even with five passengers on board, there’s also 420 liters of luggage space behind the rear seating.

The powertrain consists of a 1.6-liter inline 4-cylinder DOHC engine (117ps of maximum output) combined to a CVT featuring paddle shift w/ 7-speed manual mode. At its maximum output and torque, the SX4 S-Cross achieved fuel-efficiencies of 18.2km/liter (JC08 mode) with the 2WD and 17.2km/liter (JC08 mode) with its 4WD model.

For enhanced driving pleasure and peace of mind, the 4WD model features Suzuki’s new ALLGRIP 4WD technology featuring an electronic 4WD system, four driving modes for different conditions, and integrated control of the engine, transmission, ESP, etc.

The Suzuki SX4 S-Cross is priced at ¥2,041,200 for the 2WD model and ¥2,257,200 for its 4WD version.
