On February 4, Toyota USA announced that it would exhibit many concept cars from various motor shows at the 2015 Chicago Auto Show, which opens on February 12.
The first concept car is the FT-1. Developed by Toyota’s North American design facility Calty Design, it indicates the direction of Toyota’s future sports car models. The FT-1 also makes a virtual appearance in the video game “Gran Turismo 6.”
The second is the limited edition Sponge Bob version of the Sienna minivan, a collaboration with popular cartoon “SpongeBob SquarePants.” It’s a one-off model built to promote the movie, “Sponge Out of Water.”
The basic body color is yellow with blue around the windows. Sponge Bob’s face can be seen on the front windshield. The interior includes a blue steering wheel made to look like a ship’s helm, seats that are all different colors, and unique features.
Toyota also plans to exhibit its FV2 and i-ROAD, which indicate the future possibilities of the mobility vehicle, at the 2015 Chicago Auto Show.
