On February 3, Lexus announced that it will make the Europe debut of its LF-C2 concept car at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, which will be held in Switzerland in March.
Lexus the LF-C2 its world premiere at last year’s 2014 Los Angeles Motor Show in November. The LF-C2 is a design study whose theme is the emotionalism Lexus aspires to. Its design suggests the new RC 2-door convertible.
The design takes its inspiration from the idea of light. A 2+2-seater GT car, it’s designed to offer an enjoyable and natural drive. According to Lexus, the convertible body, which has no folding roof, is the embodiment of driving passion.
The body’s molding gives it a form that changes with variances of light or angle. It uses the newly developed color Gold Yellow which accentuates the changes in shading. The elaborately interwoven mesh spindle grille takes on a different aspect depending on the angle from which it’s seen. The 5-spoke 20-inch aluminum wheels cut a striking presence.
This LF-C2 concept is on standby for the 2015 Geneva Motor Show in March in Switzerland. Lexus says, “We’ve derived an open-air design from a pure sports coupe.”
