Recreational Off-highway Vehicles (ROVs) are popular in North America. Yamaha Motor Company is set to launch its third ROV, the recreation version of the two-seater Wolverine, in March 2015 to markets such as North America.
The ROV business, focused in North America, and its market, which is broad, ranging from recreational to sports, are growing, together with the market demand. The existing Yamaha ROVs, the Viking and Viking VI, are multi-purpose models that were developed for commercial use such as agriculture and dairy farming. The Wolverine, however, was developed as a recreational model that combines excellent off-road performance and comfort.
It has high back bucket seats to hold the rider and passenger while offering excellent off-road performance and comfort. It also features a CVT that offers excellent acceleration at all engine speeds and natural engine braking.
The Wolverine will be available in four versions: the standard Wolverine R-Spec; the Wolverine R-Spec EPS, which is equipped with Electric Power Steering (EPS); and the Wolverine R-Spec Camo and the Wolverine R-Spec Camo EPS, which feature the Realtree Xtra Camo paintwork.
The price starts at 12,199 USD (roughly 1.44 million yen).
