Lexus has unveiled the GS F at the 2015 Detroit Motor Show that is being held in the United States on January 13, 2015.
The GS F is the most recent version of the F model, a line of high-performance vehicles. Following the RC F, Lexus aims to further enhance the sports form of the Lexus. The base vehicle is Lexus GS.
The powertrain is inherited from the RC F. The 2UR-GSE-type direct-injection 5.0-liter V-8 cylinder naturally aspirated engine generates 473ps/7100rpm maximum output and 53.7kgm/4800-5600rpm maximum torque with its North American Specifications.
It achieves a high output and pursues a better response and linear feel unique to naturally aspirated engines. According to Lexus, its gas mileage and environmental friendliness have improved with the usie of the Atkinson cycle in a steady running state.
Its transmission is an 8-speed SPDS. This allows shifting gears in the shortest time, at 0.1 seconds, during M mode. The exclusive design of the suspension gives it both a comfortable riding performance on public highway and a high driving stability that lets it keep itself on the road during sports driving.
In the exterior, its cooling and aerodynamic performances have improved due to the large front spindle grille, large air ducts, CFPR lower grille moldings, and rear spoilers in contrast to the base vehicle Lexus GS. A quadruple exhaust diffuser is also exclusively mounted on the vehicle. The aluminum wheel is exclusive and are 19-inches in size. They equipped tires with sizes 255/35R19 for front and 275/35R19 for the rear.
