Honda’s overseas luxury brand, Acura unveiled their all-new NSX at the 2015 North American International Auto Show. The concept for this new NSX was launched in 2012 and the production model has finally arrived three years later.
The all-new NSX is equipped with a hybrid system called Sports Hybrid SH-AWD. This is a new-generation hybrid system that combines a transversely mounted, twin-turbocharged V6 gasoline engine with three electric motors, one to aid the engine, and a pair in the front for better traction and handling.
The new NSX comes with a new 9-speed dual-clutch transmission. It features a 4WD hybrid with motors for the front wheels and a V6 engine to control the wheels at the back.
The exterior dimensions are 4,470 x 1,940 x 1,215mm (length x width x height), 80mm longer and 25mm wider than its 2013 concept model.
As for its design, no significant changes were made from its concept. The only adjustments were to improve its aerodynamics, which includes changes to its bumper, front hood, aluminum wheels, and side mirrors.
