Detroit Motor Show 2015: Nissan launches its all-new Titan XD full-size pickup

On January 12, Nissan Motor Company unveiled their Titan XD at the 2015 North American International Auto Show in the US.

The Titan was originally launched back in 2003 as Nissan’s first full-size pickup truck. Its main competition in the US has come from the Ford F-series, the Chevrolet Silverado, the Dodge Ram, and the Toyota Tundra.

Over 10 years after its debut, Nissan has established a brand new model for the Titan, which was named the Titan XD.

The Titan XD was advertised as “Made in America” as it was designed in California, developed in Michigan, assembled in Mississippi, and its power train was produced in Tennessee.

It’s equipped with a 5.0-liter V8 Cummins Turbo Diesel that produces 310hp of maximum output and 76.7kgm of maximum torque. The towing capacity, highly valued for pickup trucks in the US, is over 5,443kg.
