Infiniti Q60 Concept (2015 North American International Auto Show)

Detroit Motor Show 2015: Infiniti debuts its next-generation Q60 (Nissan Skyline Coupe) with 3.0-liter V6 Twin Turbo

On January 11, Nissan’s overseas luxury brand, Infiniti launched their Q60 Concept at the preview event of the 2015 North American International Auto Show.

The current Nissan Skyline Coupe (in Japan) is called the Infiniti Q60 in overseas markets such as North America. This recently unveiled Q60 Concept may represent the next-generation Nissan Skyline Coupe.

The design of the Q60 was greatly influenced by the Q80 Inspiration, which was showcased at the 2014 Paris Motor Show last September. The aerodynamic gills behind the front wheel arch were designed based on Nissan Skyline’s high-performance concept, the Q50 Eau Rouge. Infiniti has equipped the Q60 Concept with 21-inch aluminum wheels as well.

The exterior dimensions are 4,690 x 1,865 x 1,370mm (length x width x height). The interior is brilliantly decorated with hand-made leather, Alcantara, and carbon fiber. Compared to the current Skyline Coupe, the legroom at the back has been expanded, establishing it as the true 2+2 coupe.

As for the power train, the only details revealed are that it’s an “inline 3.0-liter V6 Twin Turbo”. According to Infiniti, the new Q60 will feature a next-generation engine that combines outstanding performance with environmental efficiency.
