The Juke Nismo RS, a high grade model of the Juke Nismo, was added as a new vehicle in the lineup for the Nismo brand. While the normal Nismo focusesd mainly on its light tuning in the exterior and suspension, every aspect of the RS from the engine, the transmission, the drive system, to the body rigidity were enhanced, giving birth to a new high-performance compact vehicle.

The Juke Nismo RS is based on the 16GT FOUR. The 1.6-liter Direct Injection Turbo Engine was given an exclusive ECU setting. In addition, they improved its durability in the connecting rod bearings to sustain a strong torque even at a high rpm. Furthermore, they mated the paddle shift with the new Xtronic CVT with 8-speed manual modes.This allows the maximum output to increase from 190ps up to 214ps and maximum torque from 240Nm up to 250Nm.

They expanded the front brake rotor’s diameter and used a ventilated disk in the rear. Meanwhile, the braking performance was enhanced at the same time as the caliper performance and fade resistance of the brake pad were improved, among other things. In addition, the caliper was given a red coating that stands for the Nismo RS.

Also, the exclusive aluminum wheels were enlarged to 18-inches. The RS was given a special tuning in the suspension to achieve a better driving performance and maneuverability in every road situation. Next, the ALL MODE 4X4-i torque function optimizes its torque distribution along with the improvement of engine output enhancing its cornering performance.

In addition, they added reinforcements to each part while it is still in the body assembly stage, a factory tuning unique only to complete vehicle manufacturers. With this, its torsional rigidity has greatly improved. Moreover, the vehicle obtained a running performance that is stable even during high-speed driving and quick maneuvers. Like the transmission, it holds the biggest advantage unique to the Juke Nismo RS;that which cannot be obtained by retrofit tuning.

The price is 3,434,400 yen. Although it is a price equivalent to the imported hot hatch, a Nismo personnel said, “The owner will definitely understand its value by riding it.”
