The 2017 Mazda 6/Atenza (North American model)

Mazda 6 recalled in the U.S. for blinker issues

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) in the U.S. announced that it has been notified of a recall by Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) for its 2017 Mazda 6 (the Atenza, in Japan).

This recall pertains to a defect to its blinkers. According to NHTSA, the blinkers may not turn off automatically after making turns even when the steering wheel is returned to its original position.

The recall applies to 180 units of the 2017 Mazda 6 that were sold in the U.S. with optional fog lights.

MNAO will be contacting the owners of these vehicles and the fog light switches will be replaced at its dealerships.
