Nissan Serena wins 2017 RJC Car of the Year Award

Nissan Serena wins both RJC Car of the Year and Technology of the Year awards

On November 16, Nissan announced that the Serena won the 2017 RJC Car of the Year Award and its ProPilot automatic driving technology won the 2017 RJC Technology of the Year Award. This is the first time a minivan has won both awards.

The Serena has gained praise for being a minivan that offers a great deal of convenience features such as its Hands-Free Sliding Door, which allows the user to open and close the side door by foot, and the Dual Back Door, which allows the user to open only the upper part of the back door, while also offering level 2 automatic driving at a relatively reasonable price.

ProPilot has earned great praise representing a major step forward toward the new technology of automatic driving that can reduce the burden on drivers who are stuck in traffic or driving long distances.
