On November 11, Fuji Heavy Industries (Subaru) announced it will unveil their EyeSight driving assistance system to the Chinese market.
Following its introductions in Japan, Australia, North America and Europe, Subaru will launch its driver assist technology in China as it aims to expand the lineup of EyeSight-equipped vehicles, which has recorded over 900,000 units in sales worldwide. Moreover, Subaru will be showcasing its Outback and Legacy featuring its EyeSight technology at the 2016 Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition, which commences on November 18 in China.
The EyeSight is the first safety technology in the world to offer adaptive cruise control and pre-collision safety features that help prevent or reduce the impact from accidents involving other vehicles, pedestrians and bicycles, through a stereo camera. It has been highly rated in the Japanese market since its release in April 2008.
