On October 7, US venture capital firm Nauto announced it is forming partnerships with Toyota and BMW.
Nauto is a venture capital firm located in California. Among other projects, it has developed a system that uses AI to analyze footage from drive recorders.
The new partnerships include Toyota subsidiary Toyota Research Institute, BMW subsidiary BMW i Venture, and major German insurance company Allianz. The three companies reached an agreement to accept investment funds from Nauto.
The three companies will work with Nauto, using its cloud-based data research platform to develop automatic driving technology.
Nauto CEO Stefan Heck said, “Having the participation of major players in the auto and insurance industry is essential in establishing a cornerstone as we re-imagine and build a safer, smarter and congestion-free transportation system.”
