Mitsubishi has announced that their European version of the 2016 Pajero scheduled for release this summer, will feature a Smartphone Link Display Audio (SDA) system that’s compatible with both Google Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
For Mitsubishi, this is their first time to offer a SDA system and the Japanese automaker will be expanding this feature on more models and regions in the near future.
The SDA system can be operated by connecting it to an Android smartphone or an iPhone with a USB cable. By simply touching the screen or talking into the system, it allows easy and secure access to navigation, phone calls, messaging, music, etc.
In addition, because it uses the latest map information from the smartphone, there is no need to update the system.
To use the Android Auto or CarPlay, an operating system of at least Android5.0 or iOS8 are required.
