Nissan of America will premier a GT-R police car at the New York Motor Show 2017 on April 12.
This police car, designed to be part of the fictional “Skyline Metro Police” department, is a one off model produced by Nissan of America. On the bonnet, side doors, and rear side of the vehicle are decals for the Skyline Metro Police.
The car has a huge rear spoiler, 22 inch wheels, and a wide, carbon fiber fender. Emulating actual American police vehicles, the front has an oversized guard, sirens on the roof, and LED lights on the forward and rear bumpers.
The powertrain is the same as the regular mode. The 3.8 V6 gasoline twin turbo engine produces a maximum of 565hp. The Nissan GT-R has been lovingly dubbed with the nickname “Godzilla” in the U.S., so the model’s police varient has subsequently been named “Copzilla.”
