On January 23, Mitsubishi Motors Vietnam Company Limited (MMV) commenced production of the Outlander midsize SUV for the Vietnamese market. The Outlander will be assembled at MMV’s Binh Duong plant and sold throughout Vietnam.
On this day, MMV, which is in charge of manufacturing and sales of Mitsubishi Motors vehicles in Vietnam, held a ceremony at the Binh Duong plant to commemorate the rollout of the Outlander.
MMV’s General Director Kenichi Horinouchi said, “Mitsubishi Motors has been operating its Vietnamese business for over 23 years, and the Binh Duong plant has been in operation for over 20 years. I hope the Outlander becomes the face of our lineup in Vietnam and contributes to the development of its automotive industry.”
By establishing local production of the Outlander in Vietnam, MMV is hoping to expand its presence in the ASEAN region where the SUV market is experiencing rapid growth.
