On November 24, Nissan Motor Corporation announced it will expand its NISMO road car lineup and introduce the new AUTECH brand to the Japanese market.
Just like the NISMO, AUTECH is Nissan’s sub-brand featuring sporty driving performance. While the NISMO brand is dedicated purely to sports based on Nissan motorsports’ DNA, AUTECH will offer premium craftsmanship while sharing the same driving performance as NISMO.
This April, Nissan announced it will expand its lineup of NISMO road cars. The Japanese automaker has introduced Nissan GT-R NISMO, Nissan Fairlady Z NISMO, Nissan Juke NISMO, Nissan Note NISMO and the Nissan March NISMO thus far to the Japanese market. Nissan also recently launched the Nissan Serena NISMO, thereby expanding outside the traditional NISMO boundaries of sports cars and hatchbacks.
Meanwhile, the AUTECH brand will offer an extra touch of elegance and comfort along with sporty driving performance. Following the unveiling of the Serena AUTECH, the first model for the AUTECH brand, Nissan will develop AUTECH models based on its lineup of Nissan automobiles, just like the NISMO. Going forward, Nissan aims to utilize AUTECH’s craftsmanship and expand the lineup of top-quality materials to address the demands of drivers seeking ‘premium sportiness.’
